Action On Blood is one of the many organisations participating in British Science Week this year. From Friday 5th of March to Sunday 14th of March, we invite you to join us on The SCIENCE of Me, a scientific exploration of YOUR bloodlines.
British Science Week (BSW) is an annual programme of science, technology, engineering, and maths events and activities that takes place across the UK in March coordinated by the @britishscienceassociation and (BSA) and funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
The theme for British Science Week 2021 is Innovating for the Future.
On the 11th of March 2020, NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) launched the third round of the Community Investment Scheme. Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, the programme aims to engage Black, Asian, Mixed heritage and Minority ethnic communities in blood and organ donation.
Action On Blood, was one of the 35 projects that won funding for its project – Social Impact “Nollywood” Movie – under the scheme. This is the 2nd time we have won funding through this scheme and are very happy to have the opportunity to get involved again.
Another of our members also won funding again and we will be supporting them with their project.
Read more about these exciting projects and how you might get involved.
